As promised in our last E-VENTures, to follow are some of Current Affairs top picks for unique venues on Oahu:
- ‘Iolani Palace – America’s only official Royal Palace was once home to Hawaii’s Merry Monarch, King Kalakaua. Private events on palace grounds hark back to the true spirit of the royal residence when the festivities of King Kalakaua’s legendary balls and parties often featured dancing on the veranda and the Royal Hawaiian Band on the lawn. Nestled on 11 acres, exclusive special events can be elegantly celebrated beneath an ancient and towering banyan tree and at other magnificent sites throughout the grassy grounds.

- Pacific Aviation Museum – This museum offers so much more than just a venue for special events or patriotic celebrations. Just imagine your Emcee standing on the wing of a plane and addressing your guests, or enjoying dinner outside under a tent then strolling through a wealth of historic airplanes and warplanes. This unique locale offers a sense of place and aviation décor like no other on the island

- Vladimir Ossipoff Estate – Featured in many national magazines for superb architecture and unique design, this private estate designed by famed Hawaii architect Vladmir Ossipoff is perfect for smaller sized events. With tents placed on the backyard lawn, guests can enjoy a beautifully designed outdoors dinner with a birds eye view of the city below. The estate includes a two-story home, which can also host private dinners up to 12 persons in the upstairs dinning room. An upstairs kitchen is also available for caterers to use during events. Those who appreciate architecture will be awestruck by the estate’s unique design, impeccable location atop Tantalus, and panoramic views

- Kualoa – With the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean and Chinaman's Hat as a backdrop, this scenic location sits on 3,500 acres of land with a myriad of unique venues suitable for exclusive events. For the energetic, there are horseback riding trails & rodeo facilities. The pavilion area provides a great spot for a picnic or barbecue. The upper pavilion takes one even further back into a verdant space from which one can reflect on what is some of the most panoramic scenery in Hawaii.
